Why You Need Multilingual DTP

DTP (Desktop Publishing) is particularly useful when a translated document will be published or printed. But it can also be useful when the translated document is a PowerPoint or PDF file. With this service, you can be sure your final document will look very similar to the original.

Differences among languages make this adaptation essential. Certain languages like English use fewer words than Latin languages like French or Portuguese. Other languages have especially long words like German or Russian. This is what’s known as expansion and contraction factors.

It’s also important to consider languages that are written from right to left such as Arabic and Hebrew, or those that are character based, like Chines and Japanese. All these linguistic specificities require adjustments to the layout that impact graphic elements, fonts, available space, etc.
